Our good friends Katie and Sarah hosted a baby shower for us this past weekend.
They decorated our cart port beautifully with flowers and baby items and invited all our close friends. They created fun games that kept everyne engaged. The gathering was amazing! We saw how much support and love we have as we become parents. I really appreciate our neighbors offering to help with everything from breastfeeding to baby sitting. I am grateful we have a tight community in which to start our family.
We received many wonderful gifts to help us. We are going to use cloth diapers and our friends helped purchase the arsenal of inserts and covers that will hold Miley's poo. We 
enjoyed the cute clothing, books, and stuffed animals. Check out the Mark with the Natty Ice...just what every parent needs (I'll get to have some soon.) The wooden cradle was restored by Brian down the street. The gliding chair was lovingly covered by Sarah.
I'm proud to say that the shower was a 12 hour festival. People simply felt the love and hung well into the evening sharing stories. This community is AUTHOME!
